Truly! I was in Norway a month or so ago and it was still so wintry by comparison, not a bit of green to be seen anywhere (I guess the grass stays kinda brown for a while after the snow all melts?)
Was very nice to get home and see leaves again
I’ll be honest this is straight off my phone, I did nothing to it

(Idk if diagonals count in bingo? I’ve never actually played it)

2·17 days agoLots of binary decoders, multiplexers and counters so it’s probably something to do with the ALU (arithmetic logic unit, where the computer does all its maths)

The first time I’ve felt genuine shock at a celebrity death, RIP undisputed Carrot in a Box champion
Because the op photo is AI
Something’s not right though - as someone else posted below, the suit is wrong, the Artemis suits don’t have a zip down the front

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is Jules Vernes overlooked in the Anglosphere
7·29 days agoBritish and living in the UK - my experience is quite the opposite actually, never read HG Wells but have read 20,000 Leagues, Around the World, and Journey to the Centre of the Earth multiple times, though I come from quite a francophone family so that might have had an influence.
Obviously I’m aware of Wells and his works, but I’d say Verne is just as culturally familiar here as Wells is

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you carry in your pockets or with you daily?
161·1 month agoFYI it’s possible to create duplicate keys from pictures of them, so I wouldn’t recommend posting pictures of your keys online

There are several rivers in England called the Derwent.
One of them flows into the Ouse in Yorkshire, another flows into the Trent in Derbyshire, both of which later combine to form the Humber estuary, so the Humber has two Derwents in it
My favourite part of this was when he showed up with several guys wearing these things TO COURT, yknow that place you’re absolutely not allowed to record stuff?
