I think we gotta start understanding the dynamics of this country as “might makes right” because any semblance of a common social contract has been shredded. Anything is on the table come the midterms and the subsequent fallout.

Don’t even bother pointing out their hypocrisy. It’s like rolling in the mud in front if them, it only amuses them that you care. What’s going on is no longer in the realm of scholarly debate.

He is correct, in a sense. Left-wing activism and even terrorism, such that it exists, is a threat to “civilization.” But not your civilization or our civilization, the one they’re trying to build. The one where America has been ethnically cleansed, where workers have been utterly cowed, where women are breeding stock to patriarchs, where the Will of God and the State are interchangeable, where we are free to unleash our military chauvinism on the entire planet.

Left-wing terrorism is a threat to a fascist regime in the same way antibiotics are a threat to a viral load.

Trump supporters have said this for years. They think that no citizenship = no rights of a US citizen = no rights at all. That they are UnPeople that can be done with whatever we please.

Most notably they argue that they have no right to any hearing or trial, and it should be catch and deport “to save taxpayer money.”

Such as? Anything equal or adjacent to “restrict guns and ownership” is a political non-starter, and most anything less I can think of is impotent and/or easily circumvented.

It was said that during the Iran “operations” the only thing that really held his attention during briefings was footage of people being killed with airstrikes and such.

He is viscerally enamored with ordering the killings of his enemies.

The people most upset about the ICC and the UN are usually from Israel, America (both as a sockpuppet of Israel and for our own reasons), or the former Yugoslav states.

All for the same reasons:

• They’ve committed war crimes and crimes against humanity
• They aspire to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity
• They support their governments in committing war crimes and crimes against humanity

To compare it to criminals hating cops is an injustice. These aren’t guys selling dope or boosting cars, they’re vicious butchers of men clearly signalling their intent.

I’d see them as a neat action cam that’s more sincerely 1st person than a GoPro…if they didn’t have Meta slop on board.

Most of the good people that don’t just flee would be dead after a Civil War 2, leaving only proficient killers and crooks, or just cowards who keep their noses down. Large swathes of the country would be, for decades at least, one of “those places” that you never travel to and hear tales of barbarism from every now and then. Civil war would be a degradation, not a redemption arc.

Maybe not 3d printed stuff, but 80% kit guns, Polymer80s in particular, seemed to plague the streets while they were in business, probably still do. Having no paper trail beyond the purchase of the kit is definitely an advantage to criminals and the people who provide to them (also criminals).

There’s always going to be a market that these cater to. Even if not serious career criminals, there’s wifebeaters and boozers and such who can’t pass a NICS check and don’t have the connections to get one off the street.

It would be under the existing FFL 07 which covers most manufacture of firearms for commercial sale. The costs are high, 5 figures a year IIRC.

I doubt they would allow manufacture for personal use at all if they made any changes.

If violence was never the answer, violence wouldn’t be a multi trillion dollar global industry.

It is not a fringe opinion in the American gun space that all firearms should be allowed anywhere, all existing gun laws should be dismantled, and any politician who tries to legislate guns should be tried for treason, or just shot.

I would remember how China treats minorities internally if and when they take the mantle of global superpower and start pursuing global goals. I’d expect a return of East India Company-style exploitation and cruelty.

Aftermarket lift kits for those trucks should be not be legal on the street. Those should be getting impounded on sight, but their redneck owners would probably start shooting cops if that happened so it won’t.

Of course our views on Russia in 2013 were quite different to what they are now, but we always kind of knew they were a mafia state with varying levels of dedication to “playing along” on the world stage.

I dislike that he pursued asylum in Russia and I think that doing so potentially damages his credibility and motives. But what he did was important nonetheless.
