Friendly reminder that turnout in this year’s provincial election was 44%. Ontarians simply don’t give a shit who is in Queen’s Park even though that person affects their lives far more than the PM

Do you have a breakdown by regions? Really curious. Outside the GTA Ontarians tend to lean right, no? I’d like to see how the GTA voter turnout compared to the rest of the province.

Edit: There’s some data available right from Elections Ontario. https://results.elections.on.ca/en/publications. Statistical Summary by Electoral District contains the info. Have to sift through it but it looks like the Toronto average was just over 40%, so a bit lower than average. That’s very disappointing.

Cool, what do you do with that info? Every post about this shit admin has some dude proudly pointing out that some very bad eggs didn’t vote. We know people don’t vote! We’ve always known; he knows. The fucking guy calls snap elections specifically to ensure a turnout lower than the already low turnouts in Canada.

What are we gonna do about it? Wag our finger at them for being so naughty? Fuck, like I’m so tired of seeing this shit.

Go to your MPP’s offices. Make them fucking miserable until they give in and stop supporting these policies, disrupt any events (like fundraisers) they host, get involved in whatever activist networks exist in your area. Most people who did vote didn’t fucking vote for them, why don’t you focus on that?
