US Senator Lindsay Graham has just tweeted an article titled “Greta Thunberg sets sail with Gaza flotilla that aims to break Israeli naval blockade,” adding the comment, “Hope Greta and her friends can swim!”

Australian Zionist think tanker Arsen Ostrovsky somehow outdid Graham, tweeting “Oh look, the little jihadi Greta Thunberg is trying to get into Gaza, to show solidarity with Hamas. It would be so sad if something were to happen to her flotilla…”

There’s not a lot that can shock me about Israel and its supporters these days. But if you’d traveled back in time a few years ago it would be hard to explain to someone how we got to a timeline that includes Israel supporters openly advocating the assassination of Greta Thunberg.

Totally ignoring the fact that they started the war with a mass murder.

How about how Israel was founded on a genocide?

This isn’t a new “war”. The so called “war” was started in the late 19th century when European zionist colonists went to Palestine to displace or kill Palestinians for their land because they thought they, a bunch of white people, had bigger historical claim to that land than the actual native people that had been there for centuries.

LoL! Jewish people were already living in Palestine in peace with the Arabs, Muslims and Christians. Until zionists showed up.

And how can you talk about skill when the British started funding and facilitating the genocide with weapons, ammo, vehicles and training?

          Man, 'fuck outta here!

There is so much wrong with your comment I dont even know where to start.

What I will say; Israel has no right to exist, no ethnostate does because that always entails the ethnic cleansing of whoever doesnt fit.

Either way, israel lost that right when they started their state by ethnically cleansing 700k+ Palestinians, stealing their land, kill men, women and children and now enacting genocide live.

“Palestinians could just mind their business”

How so when they dont have rights, their land is being stolen, women raped and children killed?

You’re either a sick person or severely misinformed.

“It has no interest in expelling population within it”

We literally just had a poll conducted by Penn state that showed that 82% of Israelis want to expel (aka ethnically cleanse) the Palestinians in Gaza.

Oh not to mention that 47% think we should enact the same actions that Joshua enacted upon the amalek which is complete eradication (aka genocide).

          (Source: https://archive.is/nNzq4)

And let’s not forget the countless statements by Israeli officials either saying we want the Palestinians in Gaza to leave or that we will eradicate them from Gaza.

Just wtf are you on about?

You are dishonest and a genocide denying nazi.

Jews flourished under Muslim rule. Muslims are the ones that replanted Jews in Jerusalem during the reign of the 2nd caliph. Muslim ottomans saved Jews and allowed them to live peacefully when they were being persecuted in the Europe. This is attested to by Jewish historians themselves.

You want to play the victim when you and the Israelis are modern day Nazis. You are no different. And now the whole world sees you for what you are.

This is the kind of supremacist thinking that I’ve heard from some friends who have vested interest in Israel. It’s reproduced nearly identically by each one. The conclusions that follow from it are unacceptable for most people outside of Israel.

According to YouGov as of today in Europe:

only between 13% and 21% of respondents in any country polled had a favourable view of Israel, compared with 63%-70% whose views were unfavourable.

If you think only 13-21% in these countries are right wing, you’re sorely mistaken. This isn’t a righ-left divide even if there tends to be more support for Israel among the right. This is a society-wide rejection of the results of this supremacist thinking. Just look at one of the strongest supporters of Israel - Germany. There was a drastic increase in support following Oct 7, undoubtedly driven by solidarity with Israel. Then the war effort erased all of it and dropped support by 40 points.

Jews are an actually respectable and safe people unlike the Muhammadians.

This is a supremacist belief and the conclusions following from it cannot be accepted by most because we know they lead to atrocities as they have in the past and as they do as we speak.

I’m not trying to convince you not to think that. I know where it comes from and I know I can’t. I’m just telling you how and why this is read and understood by those that don’t think it, and why they won’t accept it.

I’m anticipating you somehow justify calling for the drowning of a bunch of 20-year-old climate activists, on Twitter, and profiting from the attention…

Something about how they have it coming?

Lindsey Graham’s tweet got 17.1 Million views, and counting.

It may be nuts, but it changes thoughts because it’s embedded in millions of people’s real lives. While the senator’s tweet may not be acted on directly, it fuels the media ecosystem that calls for, and drives, such violence. It sways sentiment in the real world in a way OP’s less engaged article never will.

Tweets like this are what put shameless, crazy right wingers (and crazy left wingers) in control of the world. Jihadists terrorists take advantage of it, MAGA takes advantage of it, Israeli demagogues take advantage of it, and others ignoring that is how we got to this place.
